Robert McDougall

Rob McDougall, began his musical career in 2003 at the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music.

He auditioned for The NSW Schools Spectacular in 2004 and has performed each year since then as a featured artist culminating with his outstanding finale performance in 2007. He graduated from The Talent Development Project in 2007 and received a scholarship from The Sport and Tourism Youth Foundation.

To date Rob has performed directly for the Prime Minister, Governor and Premier of NSW and British Consul General to Australia, and recently  was a foyer support act at the Sydney Entertainment Centre for the Michael Buble Concert tour in Australia.

He has performed for numerous charity organizations and in conjunction with Rotary International has recorded 2 cds compiled of some of his favourite musical theatre and jazz pieces, with the proceeds being donated to The Australian Rotary Health Research Fund. As a result of his fundraising efforts Rotary have acknowledged Robert as a Diamond Friend of the Fund.

Robert has performed the role of Marius in Les Miserables with a national cast produced by  Alexander Productions at  NIDA’s Parade Theatre in 2006, performed at The Youth Olympics in 2005 & 2007, The Anzac Military Tattoo, Victor Chang Happy Heart Ball, Sony Foundation True Colours Ball, The NSW Sports Federation Awards  as well as many other corporate and charity events in Sydney.

In early 2008 Robert relocated from Tamworth to Sydney to commence study at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Sydney University for a combined Bachelor of Music Studies/ Bachelor of Arts degree. As he furthers his music education he is also continuing to refine and perfect his skills as a performer.
